IHEA Conference Paper 2019

Built Water Solutions are committed and active members of the Institute of Health-care Engineering Australia (IHEA). This includes serving as committee members of the SA Branch. You’ll find a link to the Institute web page on our home page.

In September 2019 IHEA held its Annual National Conference at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney. The conference was also a celebration of IHEA's 70th birthday!

As part of our ongoing contribution to IHEA we successfully submitted a paper for the conference. The paper was a collaboration with Flinders University (where Dr Bentham is Adjunct Associate Professor) and Enware relating to flushing of potable water systems in Health-care. The paper was titled "A Novel Approach to Monitoring Water Quality in Hospital and Healthcare Facilities".

We were very pleased to receive the ‘Best Paper IHEA Member’ award for the presentation and take custody of the perpetual clock (photo above) until the next conference. A condition of successful submission of the paper was to prepare an article for the IHEA Journal ‘Healthcare Facilities’. Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the 2020 conference in WA has been postponed. We will take good care of the clock for the next recipient in the meantime!
